Graduate student Juan Hincapie-Castillo, Pharm.D., researched the prevalence of psychotherapy among Medicaid-insured patients within six months of initiating psychotropic medication polypharmacy.
The fellowship is given annually to a graduate student in the POP department.
Dr. Juan Hincapie-Castillo competed against 15 other presenters in the oral competition.
Dr. Hincapie-Castillo is one of only 21 UF graduate students presented with the award for excellence in teaching.
Juan Hincapie-Castillo, Pharm.D., a graduate student in pharmaceutical outcomes and policy, will co-lead the Student Council for the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology.
