Juan Hincapie-Castillo, Pharm.D., a fourth-year graduate student in the department of pharmaceutical outcomes and policy, has been named the recipient of the DuBow Family Graduate Student Education Fellowship. The award is given annually to a graduate student in the department of pharmaceutical outcomes and policy to support their research and education. Recipients have an outstanding track record in scholarship and must be involved with research related to pediatrics.
A 2013 graduate of the University of Florida College of Pharmacy’s Pharm.D. program, Hincapie-Castillo is working toward a doctorate degree under the mentorship of Almut Winterstein, Ph.D., a professor and chair of pharmaceutical outcomes and policy. His concentration is pharmacoepidemiology, with research interests in pain management, substance abuse and drug policy focused on regulation of controlled substances.
