Internship Programs & Summer Research
The Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy recognizes the importance of an internship experience in providing students with perspective of where they envision themselves after graduation. Many of our students choose to intern in areas such as medication therapy management, patient safety, pharmacoeconomics and pharmacoepidemiology.
Our students have been connected through our program to summer internship opportunities with renown leaders in the pharmaceutical industry, including Biogen, Amgen, Inc. and other national and international organizations, including the FDA and WHO.
Read about some of the exciting internship experiences achieved while in the program.

GlobalGators was established to maintain friendships and colleague interaction developed at the UF College of Pharmacy. The program was initiated by the department of Pharmaceutics, but embraces all five departments at the UF College of Pharmacy. The GlobalGator International Symposium, held biennially, allows researchers, educators and students to meet and share their work in clinical pharmacy and pharmacology.
International students interested in Pharmaceutics or Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy summer research options can contact professor and POP chair, Almut Winterstein, Ph.D., email@example.com, for further information. Applicants will need to provide a statement of intent, CV, letters of recommendation and proof of financial support.
