POP Seminar Guest Speaker and Faculty Candidate, Earl Morris IV, MPH.; 04/17/2023

Please join us Monday, 04/17/2023 for POP Research Seminar of the Spring 2023, held from 11:00am – 12:00pm in HPNP Auditorium room 1404. We will be welcoming Earl Morris IV., MPH; as our seminar speaker.

Earl Morris IV

Dr. Earl Morris is a PhD candidate in the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and an American Heart Association predoctoral fellow. His research focuses on 1) understanding and improving the use of cardiovascular-related medications in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, 2) identifying novel drug-adverse event signals in populations routinely under-represented in trials using data-mining and signal triage approaches, and 3) evaluating and mitigating inappropriate prescribing in older adults. His presenation title is: “Trajectories of Xanthine Oxidase Inhibitor Use and Associated Cardiovascular Outcomes Among Medicare Beneficiaries”.

Earl is also a clinically-trained pharmacist and received his PharmD and MPH at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. In addition to his clinical training, he holds two bachelor’s degrees (one in biological sciences and one in chemistry) from Arkansas State University.
