Please join us Thursday, 01/13/2022 for POP Research seminar of the Fall 2021, held from 11:00 am-12:30 pm in Communicore C1-04. We will be welcoming Shailina Keshwani, B.S. Pharm ., B.A.S. and Golnoosh Alipour Haris, M.S., Pharm.D. as our seminar speakers.
Shailina is a third-year PhD student working under the supervision of Dr. Smith. She received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Mumbai University, India. She recently received her master’s degree from our POP department. Currently her research interests include hypertension and cardiovascular diseases. She joined our program in the fall of 2019, and her research interests include hypertension and cardiovascular diseases. Her seminar title presented is: “Treatment Intensification in Patients with Existing Hypertension After Initiation of Tetracycline Antibiotics Using Claims Data from 2005 to 2019.“
Golnoosh is a third-year PhD student in POP under the supervision of Dr. Brown. I graduated PharmD in Iran in 2018, during my PharmD I worked as a pharmacist, and after graduation, I worked as a medical science liaison. I finished my master’s in UF POP department in summer 2021. My research interest is in comparative effectiveness and health outcomes studies specifically on neurodegenerative diseases. Her seminar title presented is: “Association of pimavanserin with mortality compared to quetiapine for Parkinson’s disease psychosis in Medicare beneficiaries: 2016-2018.”
