Ben Staley, PharmD, BCPS is a clinical pharmacy specialist in quality improvement and clinical informatics at UF Health – Shands Hospital. He received his PharmD from the University of Florida and completed a PGY-1 residency at the University of Colorado Hospital and a PGY-2 residency in Infectious Diseases as UF Health – Shands Hospital. After working as an infectious diseases/antiinfective stewardship pharmacist and clinical coordinator, Dr. Staley transitioned to his current role. He is involved in many quality improvement related initiatives and programs at UF Health to include Core Measures/Clinical Quality Measures, AHRQ Patient Safety Indicators, EHR Meaningful Use, and Medication Safety. Dr, Staley is certified in Epic Willow Inpatient and is the coordinator of the UF Health – Shands Hospital Clinical Decision Support Governance Committee. He has extensive experience in translating evidence into best practices using clinical decision support tools within the Electronic Health Record.
