POP Seminar Speakers: Fatemeh Mehrabi, and Jungjun (“June”) Bae 03/03/2026

Please join us on Tuesday, 03/03/2026 for POP Research Seminar of the Spring 2026, held from 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm in NVIDIA Auditorium (1st Floor). We will be welcoming , Fatemeh Mehrabi, PharmD, and Jungjun (“June”) Bae, MS.

Fatemeh Mehrabi, PharmD, earned her PharmD degree in 2020 from Kerman University of Medical Sciences in Iran. Following her graduation, she worked as a full-time researcher at a WHO collaborating research center focused on HIV/STI surveillance while also serving as a part-time pharmacist in both hospital and community settings for three years. She joined POP in the fall of 2024 as a PhD student and currently works at Dr. Morris’s lab on medical cannabis cardiovascular outcomes.

Jungjun (“June”) Bae, MS, is a second-year PhD student from South Korea. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Statistics from the UNC-Chapel Hill and his master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Kentucky. Prior to his doctoral training, he gained several years of research experience at the University of Kentucky. His work focused on substance use disorders, opioid prescribing and overdose, HIV, and hepatitis C, using large administrative and clinical datasets. His current research evaluates the clinical and economic value of healthcare interventions using real-world data. He is interested in assessing whether programs, technologies, and treatments provide meaningful benefit relative to their costs based on scientific evidence.
