POP Seminar Speaker Shu Niu and Henry Hung-Kai Chen 01/13/2026

Please join us Tuesday, 01/13/2026 for POP Research Seminar of the Spring 2026, held from 10:30 am-12:30 pm in NVIDIA Auditorium (1st Floor). We will be welcoming Shu Niu, M.S. and Henry Hung-Kai Chen, BPharm, MClinPharm. 

Shu Niu, M.S, is a 5th-year Ph.D. student in the POP department working with Dr. Smith. She got her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and has 2 years of working experience in clinical pharmacology in Beijing. In 2021, she joined the POP as a Master’s student, In 2023 she transferred to PHD program in POP. Her current research interests are conducting pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacoeconomic study for cancer drugs.

Henry Hung-Kai Chen, BPharm, MClinPharm, is a fourth-year PhD student in the Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy program, working under the supervision of Dr. Winterstein. He earned his bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Taipei Medical University in 2018, followed by a master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy from National Cheng Kung University in 2020. Prior to joining the program, he worked as a clinical pharmacist and research assistant at medical centers in Taiwan. His previous research has primarily focused on evaluating the intended and unintended effects of healthcare interventions among patients with rheumatic diseases and cancer.
