POP Seminar Speaker Jabed Al Faysal, M.S. and Fanxing Du, MPH 10/28/2025

Please join us Tuesday, 10/28/2025 for POP Research Seminar of the Spring 2025, held from 10:40 am-12:40 pm in NVIDIA Auditorium (1st Floor). We will be welcoming ,  Jabed Al Faysal, M.S. and Fanxing Du, MPH

Jabed Al Faysal, M.S. and Fanxing Du, MPH is a fourth year PhD student at the department of pharmaceutical outcomes & policy (POP). He is working as a graduate research assistant under the supervision of Dr. Md. Mahmudul Hasan. Jabed completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Khulna University, Bangladesh. Before joining at POP, he worked as a faculty member in Computer Science and Engineering Discipline at Khulna University, Bangladesh. His research interests include machine learning, predictive analytics, substance use disorder, and medication adherence. His seminar title presented is: “Developing and validating a machine-learning algorithm to predict the risk of incident opioid use disorder among OneFlorida+ patients: A prognostic modeling study”

Fanxing Du, MPH is a fourth-year PhD student working with Dr. Jiao. She received her Bachelor’s degree of Engineering from Liaoning University, and received her Master of Public Heath degree from School of Public Health, Fudan University in China. Her research focuses on pharmacoepidemiology in cardiovascular, metabolic diseases and cancer. Her Seminar title presented is: “Glucagon-Like Peptide-1 Receptor Agonists and Risk for Cardiovascular Events in Older Adults Treated with Levothyroxine: A Target Trial Emulation”.
