POP Seminar Speaker, Wenxi Huang, B.S., M.S., and Wei-Han (William) Chen, B.S. Pharm, M.S. 9/23/2025

Please join us Tuesday, 9/23/2025 for POP Research Seminar of the Spring 2025, held from 10:40 am-12:40 pm in NVIDIA Auditorium (1st Floor). We will be welcoming Wenxi Huang, B.S., M.S.  and Wei-Han (William) Chen, B.S. Pharm, M.S.

Wenxi Huang, B.S., M.S is a third-year PhD student in the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy, under the mentorship of Dr. Jingchuan Guo. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from South China University of Technology in China and has recently graduated from our master’s program. Wenxi’ s research interests lay mainly in the field of health disparities and health outcome research. Her seminar title presented is: “The impact of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists on aging populations”.

 

Wei-Han (William) Chen, B.S. Pharm, M.S. is a fifth-year Ph D student in the Department of POP, mentored by Dr. Guo. He received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from Taipei Medical University in 2020 and later obtained his master’s degree in POP in 2023.His research primarily focuses on cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases such as type 2 diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease. His Seminar title presented is: ” Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists and risks for neurological outcomes in adults with obesity–A study proposal”.
