Please join us Thursday, 1/16/2025 for POP Research Seminar of the Spring 2025, held from 11:30 am-1:00 pm in NVIDIA Auditorium (1st Floor). We will be welcoming Wenxi Huang, B.S., M.S., and Shu Niu, MS., as our seminar speakers.
Wenxi Huang, B.S. M.S., is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy at the University of Florida, under the mentorship of Dr. Jingchuan Guo. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from South China University of Technology in China, followed by master’s degrees in Chemistry and Information Systems from Florida International University. In 2023, Wenxi completed her Master of Science in Pharmacy here at POP. Wenxi’s seminar title presented is: “Effect of Neighborhood Deprivation on Racial Disparities in Heart Failure Outcomes: An Assessment in Real Word Heart Failure Patients Using A Novel Counterfactual Framework”
Shu Niu, MS., is a 4th year Ph.D. student in the POP department working with Dr. Smith. I got my Bachelor’s degree in Public Health at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and have 2 years of working experience in clinical pharmacology in Beijing. In 2021, I joined pop as a Master’s student, In 2023 I transferred to PHD program in POP. My current research interests are conducting pharmacoeconomic and Epidemiology study for cancer drugs. Shu’s seminar title is: “Cost-Effectiveness of GLP-1 RAs Plus SGLT2i Versus SGLT2i In Patients with Diabetic Chronic Kidney Disease”
