POP Seminar Guest Speaker, Asinamai M. Ndai, and Hsin- Min Wang, and Huilin Tan, 10/3/2024

Please join us Thursday, 10/3/2024 for POP Research Seminar of the Fall 2024, held from 11:30 am-1:00 pm in NVIDIA Auditorium (1st Floor). We will be welcoming Asinamai M. Ndai, BPharm,.MS., and Huilin Tan, MSc, as our seminar speakers.

Huilin Tan, MSc., is a fouth‐year Ph.D. student at the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy, with Dr. Jingchuan (Serena) Guo as his advisor. He received his master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy from Peking University in China. Before joining POP, he worked as a clinical pharmacist at Peking University Third Hospital and a research associate at Indiana University. His research interest is pharmacoepidemiology, causal inference, and machine learning with a focus on diabetes and neurodegenerative disease. Huilin has received two Predoctoral Fellowship from PhRMA and AFPE. Huilin Tan’s seminar title is: “Risk of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias Associated with GLP‐1 Receptor Agonists
and SGLT2 Inhibitors in Adults with Type 2 Diabetes”

 

Asinamai M. Ndai, BPharm., MS.,  earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria. He later pursued a Master’s degree in Global Affairs, specializing in Sustainable Development, at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA. Currently, he is a fourth-year PhD student in the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy. His broad research interests are in geriatric pharmacoepidemiology and medication safety, with a specific focus on prescribing practices and the use of high-risk medications among older adults with atrial fibrillation.  Asinamai M.
