POP Seminar Guest Speaker, Jaeyoung Choi and Chien-Yu Tseng, 9/16/2024

Please join us Monday, 9/16/2024 for POP Research Seminar of the Fall 2024, held from 11:30 am-1:00 pm in NVIDIA Auditorium (1st Floor). We will be welcoming Jaeyoung (Jae) Choi, PharmD, CPh, Chien-Yu (Irene) Tseng, PharmD, as our seminar speakers.

Jaeyoung (Jae) Choi, PharmD, CPh,  holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the University of Michigan. Recently, I completed a graduate certificate in Pharmaceutical Value Assessment and Communications through POP’s online graduate program. Currently, I am a second-year fellow under the mentorship of Dr. Rachel Reise. My training focuses on providing consultant pharmacist services within UF Health Physicians clinics. My research interests revolve around healthcare quality, medication safety, and population health.  Jaeyoung’s seminar title is: ” Addressing Opioid Disposal Disparities and Promoting Safe Practices”

 

Chien-Yu (Irene) Tseng, PharmD,  is a second-year Ph.D. student from Taiwan. She earned her Pharm.D. from the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University in Taiwan, where she concentrated her thesis on the cost-effectiveness of liver cancer treatments. Following her Pharm.D., Irene worked as a Research Associate at National Taiwan University, focusing on projects related to the disease burden of psoriasis and the health outcomes of Cilostazol use, utilizing electronic medical records and claims data in Taiwan. Currently, she is working on sleep disorders among older adults and exploring cardiovascular pharmacoepidemiology with Dr. Kaufmann and Dr. Morris. health.  Irene’s seminar title is: “Clinical Characteristics and Medication Use Patterns of Older Adults With Sleep Apnea With and Without Comorbid Insomnia”
