Please join us Thursday 10/19/2023 for POP Research Seminar of the Fall 2023, held from 11:00 am-12:30 pm in HPNP Auditorium (room 1404). We will be welcoming Priyanka Kulkarni, MPH, BPharm and Piaopiao Li, B.S. Pharm., M.S. Pharm as our seminar speakers.
Priyanka Kulkarni, MPH, BPharm completed her Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from India and went on to get her Master’s in Public Health from Boston University. She worked as a Research Assistant at Boston University and later as a Data Coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania where she performed evidence synthesis to inform treatment prioritization for COVID-19. She joined the University of Florida in Fall 2022 and is in the second year of her PhD program working under Dr. Almut G. Winterstein. Her research interests are in using real-world evidence to inform the management of hypertension and cardiovascular disease. Her seminar titled presented is: “Impact of CDC Recommendations on the use of Hepatitis C treatment among pregnant women in the United States”
Piaopiao Li, B.S. Pharm., M.S. Pharm is a fourth-year Ph.D. student at the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy, with Dr. Hui Shao as her primary advisor and Dr. Almut G. Winterstein as her co-advisor. She received her bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and master’s degree of pharmaceutics from Peking University in China. She worked as a clinical research associate in Johnson & Johnson in China before joining POP. She did an internship at Johnson & Johnson this summer. Her seminar title presented is: “Johnson & Johnson Internship Experience Sharing: Developing an Antipsychotics Monthly Research Insight Dashboard.”
