POP Seminar: Asinamai Ndaia and Yehua Wang- 9-21-2023

Please join us Thursday 10/05/2023 for POP Research Seminar of the Fall 2023,  held from 11:00 am-12:30 pm in HPNP Auditorium (room 1404). We will be welcoming  Yushi Huang, Pharm.D. and Nicole Smolinski, Pharm. D. as our seminar speakers.

Yushi Huang, Pharm. D. Yushi obtained her PharmD degree in 2018 from the University of Florida and joined POP in the same year. Yushi is in her last semester in POP under the supervision of Dr. Diaby. Her research interests are health economics and outcomes research with real world evidence. Her disease area of interest is oncology, especially immunotherapy in lung cancer. She is also interested in obtaining industry experience, that she interned with Novartis HEOR focusing on rare diseases and hematology, as well as co-oped with Merck CORE department as data analyst. Her seminar title is : “YEARLY TRENDS OF IMMUNE CHECKPOINT INHIBITOR USE PATTERN IN PATIENTS WITH ADVANCED OR METASTATIC WILD-TYPE NON-SMALL CELL LUNG CANCER (NSCLC) INFORMED BY REAL-WORLD DATA

 

Nicole Smolinski, Pharm D. is a fifth-year Ph.D. student at POP. She earned two bachelor’s degrees in child psychology and chemistry from the University of Minnesota in 2015. She then received her Pharm.D. from Midwestern University in 2019. Her research has focused on pediatric acute otitis media, treatment preference, and the consequences of the overuse of antibiotics in this population as well as pregnancy-related work on outcomes and safety of medication use during pregnancy. Her seminar title is: Clinician Preference for Management of Pediatric Acute Otitis Media and Consequences in the United States
