Please join us Thursday 09/21/2023 for POP Research Seminar of the Fall 2023, held from 11:00 am-12:30 pm in HPNP Auditorium (room 1404). We will be welcoming Asinamai Ndai, B.Pharm, M.S. and Yehua Wang, MSPH as our seminar speakers.
Asinamai Ndai, B.Pharm, MS earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria. Following graduation, he worked in the public sector, focusing on reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, and malaria. He later pursued a Master’s degree in Global Affairs (Sustainable Development) at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, USA. His research focus is on optimizing hypertension management among older adults living with HIV. His seminar title is : “Treatment Patterns & Sequences in Ulcerative Colitis: A Real-World Data Analysis in the United States”
Yehua Wang, MSPH is a fourth-year Ph.D. student at the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy, with Dr. Almut Winterstein as his advisor. He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Fudan University in China. He then completed his master’s at Johns Hopkins University, majoring in Global Health Epidemiology, with additional certificates in vaccine science and clinical trials. Yehua’s research interests lay mainly in the field of pharmacoepidemiology. He has been involved in research projects from different fields including cardiovascular diseases, women’s health, medical marijuana, and diabetes. His dissertation focuses on cardiovascular diseases. His seminar title is: “Assessing COVID-19’s impact on patient characteristics and condition measurement in claims data”
