The third annual Cannabis Clinical Outcomes Research Conference took place May 18-19 at the UF Research and Academic Center in Orlando. More than 120 attendees, including faculty and students from the UF College of Pharmacy, shared their latest research findings about cannabis and gained a greater understanding of medical marijuana use on health. The two-day conference featured more than 50 oral and poster presentations and nearly 20 speakers who covered topics such as cannabis use during pregnancy and the cognitive effects of recreational and medical cannabis use.
The conference was hosted by the Consortium for Medical Marijuana Clinical Outcomes Research, which is composed of universities across the state and led by a leadership team at UF. Established in 2019, the consortium conducts, shares and supports research on the effects of medical marijuana on health conditions and symptoms in Florida.
