POP Seminar Guest Speaker and Faculty Candidate, Ruba Sajdeya, MD.; 04/27/2023

Please join us Monday, 04/27/2023 for POP Research Seminar of the Spring 2023, held from 11:00am – 12:00pm in HPNP Auditorium room 1404. We will be welcoming Ruba Sajdeya, MD; as our seminar speaker.

Ruba Sajdeya

 

Ruba S. J. Sajdeya, MD is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Epidemiology in the Clinical and Translational Science Interdisciplinary Program at the University of Florida. She is recipient of the Madelyn Lockhart Fellowship from the Association of Academic Women, and expected to complete her Ph.D. in August 2023. Dr. Sajdeya holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Al-Quds University in Jerusalem and completed her Anesthesiology residency training at Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem, Palestine. With her background in Epidemiology and anesthesiology, her research focuses on the pharmacoepidemiology of substance use and its impact on perioperative outcomes, using cutting edge artificial intelligence techniques. Dr. Sajdeya has been affiliated with the Consortium for Medical Marijuana Outcomes Research and the Southern HIV and Alcohol Research Consortium. Dr. Sajdeya seminar title is: The Cannabis Conundrum in Anesthesia: Novel approaches to investigating Perioperative Implications Using Real-World Data”.
