POP Seminar Guest Speaker & Faculty Candidate, Xin Hu, MSPH 03/2/2023

Please join us Thursday, 03/02/2023 for POP Research Seminar of the Spring 2023, held from 11:00 am-12:00 pm in HPNP Auditorium (room 1404). We will be welcoming Xin Hu, MSPH as our seminar speaker.

Xin Hu, MSPH is a PhD candidate in Health Services Research and Health Policy (Health EconoXin Humics Track) at Emory University. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Public Service Administration from Fudan University and master’s degree in Health Policy and Management from Emory University. She worked as a Research Associate at Yale Cancer Outcomes, Public Policy and Effectiveness Research Center, and a Biostatistician at Yale Center for Analytical Sciences. She is a 2022 Alice S. Hersh Student Scholarship recipient, a 2022 PhRMA Foundation Predoctoral Fellow, a 2022 Livingston Fellow (Emory), and has been a research fellow at the American Cancer Society. Her research focuses on cancer outcomes, healthcare quality, and health disparities. It has been published in JAMA Oncology, JAMA Network Open, Journal of National Cancer Institute, and Medical Care. Her dissertation examines the impact of hospitalsā€™ ownership of oncologists, known as vertical integration, on cancer care quality, outcomes, and healthcare cost. Her presentation title is: “Implications of Vertical Integration in the Oncology Market ”
