POP Seminar: Golnoosh Alipour-Haris, MS and Shu Niu, BS, 02/23/2023

Please join us Thursday, 02/23/2023 for POP Research Seminar of the Spring 2023, held from 11:00 am-12:30 pm in HPNP Auditorium. We will be welcoming  Golnoosh  Alipour-Haris, MS, and Shu Niu, BS., as our seminar speakers.   

GolnGolnoosh & Shu Niuoosh Alipour-Haris, is a fourth-year PhD candidate. She obtained her PharmD degree in Iran and her master’s degree in POP. In 2022, she participated in a one-year fellowship program at Merck, and currently working at AbbVie. Golnoosh research interests lie in safety and comparative studies. Dr. Brown her my academic advisor, faculty mentors are Memet Burcu & Sarah Liu and for her PhD dissertation, she is specifically focusing on Lewy body dementia. Golnoosh presentation title is: “Merck Pre-doctoral fellowship: Using real-world evidence (RWE) to investigate invasive breast cancer and support regulatory submissions”.

Shu Niu, is a second year Master student in POP department working with Dr. Shao. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Before coming to US, she has two years work experience in Drug Clinical research. Shu current research interests are Pharmacoeconomics and microsimulation model development. Her presentation title is: “Increasing Economic Returns of Structured Lifestyle Intervention Associated with Rising Costs of Treating Diabetes”.
