POP Seminar: Ikenna Unigwe, B.S., Pharm.D and Shu Huang, M.S., M.P.H, and Sebastian Jugl, B.S.Pharm., R.Ph 10/06/2022

Please join us Thursday, 10/06/2022 for POP Research Seminar of the Fall 2022, held from 11:00 am-12:30 pm in Medical Sciences Building 6120. We will be welcoming Ikenna Unigwe, B.S., Pharm.D., Shu Huang, M.S., M.P.H. and Sebastian Jugl, B.S.Pharm, R.Ph as our seminar speakers.

Ike, Shu and SebastianIkenna and Shu, would like to share their internship experience at Ultragenyx this summer. They both interned at their Global HEOR and Epidemiology team. Ultragenyx is an American biopharmaceutical company involved in the Research and Development of novel products for treatment of rare and ultra-rare genetic diseases for which there are typically no approved treatments and high unmet medical need.

Sebastian, joined the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy as a graduate student in 2019 with Dr. Winterstein as his faculty advisor, after receiving his professional licensure as registered pharmacist (2019) and working as chief locum pharmacist (2019) in hospital and community pharmacies. He is particularly interested in applying pharmacoepidemiologic methods to investigate drug              utilization, drug safety, and the effects of state and federal laws in the area of oncology, women´s health, and medical cannabis research.    He is the immediate past student council chair of the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology, and author for the German pharmaceutical association (DPhG). His presentation title is: “Developing an algorithm to identify contraceptive exposure in commercial   claims data”.
