POP Seminar: Rupal Aroza, PharmD and Shao-Hsuan (Brendan) Chang, BS Pharm on 03/24/2022

Please join us Thursday, 03/24/2022 for POP Research seminar of the Fall 2021, held from 11:00 am-12:30 pm in Communicore C1-04. We will be welcoming Rupal Francisca Aroza, Pharm.D., and Shao-Hsuan (Brendan) Chang, BS Pharm. as our seminar speakers.Rupal Aroza & Shao Hsuan Chang

Rupal, is a first-year Master’s student at the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy, currently working under Dr. Winterstein as her advisor. Rupal Francisca Aroza received her PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) degree (2014-2020) from Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Karnataka, India. In her final year, she worked as a Clinical Pharmacist Intern in the Neonatology and Pediatrics, Palliative Medicine, Psychiatry, and General Medicine Departments at Kasturba Hospital (tertiary care hospital), in Manipal, India. Her seminar title presented is: “Trends in prevalence and risk factors associated with prenatal exposure to gabapentin – a narrative review.”

 Brendan, is a first-year master student at POP. He received bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Taipei Medical university, Taiwan. After graduating from the pharmacy school, he worked as a clinical research pharmacist in a cancer hospital. His research interest includes pharmacoeconomic and pharmacoepidemiology. His seminar title presented is: Cost-effectiveness analysis of early versus delayed use of abemaciclib combination treatment in patients with high-risk HR+/HER2- early breast cancer: A US payer perspective.”
