POP Seminar: Yushi Huang and Seonyeong Yang, 12/09/2021

Please joYushi.Seonkyeongin us Thursday, 12/09/2021 for POP Research seminar of the Fall 2021, held from 11:00 am-12:30 pm in HPNP Auditorium, Room HPNP 1404. We will be welcoming Yushi Huang, PharmD and Seonkyeong Yang, M.S. as our seminar speakers.

Yushi obtainhttps://pop.pharmacy.ufl.edu/people/students/motomori-lewis-b-s/ed her PharmD degree in 2018 from the University of Florida. Yushi is now a 4th year PhD student in under the supervision of Dr. Diaby. Her research interests are health economics, real world data analysis and outcomes research. Her disease area of interest is oncology, especially immunotherapy in lung cancer. Her long-term research goals involve the continuous development and appropriate distribution of healthcare resources, especially in how economics influence healthcare stakeholders’ choices in healthcare in the real world.  Her seminar title presented is: Cost-effectiveness analysis of nivolumab compared to pembrolizumab in previously untreated locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer patients.

Seonkyeong is a 3rd year PhD student under the supervision of alum Dr. Caitlin Knox (Regeneron).  Before joining the POP, she worked at the Pharminent Pharma intelligence company as an analyst in the US and worked at the Regional Pharmacovigilance Research Center as a research pharmacist in South Korea. She received her master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy from the College of Pharmacy at Marmara University in Turkey and earned her pharmacy degree from Pusan National University in South Korea. Her current research interest is cardiovascular safety associated with migraine medications.  Her seminar title presented is: Prevalence and Clinical Outcomes of Lipodystrophy in the United States.
