POP Seminar: Ikenna Unigwe & Shailina Keshwani on Thurs, Mar 25, 2021

POP Seminar Announcement 03.25.21Please join us Thursday, 03/25/2021 for POP Research seminar of the Spring 2021, held from 11:45 am-1:15 pm in Communicore, Room C1-04, or via Zoom. We will be welcoming Ikenna Unigwe, B.S., Pharm.D., M.S. and Shailina Keshwani, B.S.Pharm, B.A.S. as our seminar speakers.

Ikenna Unigwe is a McKnight scholar currently in his 2nd year of the PhD program in the Dept of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy. He went to the University of Mississippi where he received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2013. He practiced in Atlanta Georgia before beginning this graduate program in the fall of 2019. His practice experience includes consulting and community pharmacy practice. His research interests include comparative effectiveness and safety research in HIV and Hepatitis-C.  His seminar title presented is: Trends in sexually transmitted infections in the United States ambulatory care clinics from 2005-2016.”Ike’s mentor/advisor is Dr. Haesuk Park.

Shailina Keshwani  received her BS in Pharmacy Degree from Mumbai University, Mumbai, India in 2012 and worked as a research analyst at WNS global services. Further I received BAS in Healthcare management from College of Central Florida, Ocala, Florida in 2017. My research interests include the study of drug utilization in the area of pain management and evaluation of the effects of State and Federal laws on patient outcomes. Her seminar title presented is: Trends in Utilization of Prescription Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Medications Following Florida’s restriction Law of Opioid Prescribing for Acute Pain.” Shailina’s mentor/advisor is Dr. Juan Hincapie-Castillo.
