Please join us Thursday, 01/28/2021 for POP Research seminar of the Spring 2021, held from 11:45 am-1:15 pm in Communicore, Room C1-04, or via Zoom. We will be welcoming, Patrick Squires, Pharm.D., as our seminar speaker.
Patrick Squires received his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland. Patrick then went to Pharmacy School at the University of Pittsburgh where he received his Doctor of Pharmacy. In Pittsburgh, Patrick worked with outcomes researchers at the VA Center for Health Equity Research and Promotion (CHERP) analyzing policy benefits of Medicare and the VA. He is now a fourth year PhD student in the Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy Ph.D. program working with Dr. Brown. He is interested in pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, and drug policy evaluation. His therapeutic interests are in hematologic malignancies, older adult medicine, and HIV care. Patrick also works as an inpatient pharmacist on the Heart, Vascular and Neuromedicine team at UF Shands hospital.. Seminar title presented is: “The effects of oral anticancer parity laws on out-of-pocket spending and adherence among commercially insured patients with chronic myeloid leukemia”.
