Please join us Thursday, 12/03/2020 for POP Research seminar of the Fall 2020, held from 11:00 am-12:30 pm in the Health Professions, Nursing, and Pharmacy Building Auditorium (Room HPNP 1404) or via Zoom. We will be welcoming, Chen “Alice” Chen, B.S. Pharm as our seminar speaker.

Ms. Chen is a Ph.D. candidate from the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy. She graduated from Fudan University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy. Then she worked as a pharmaceutical representative for Sanofi-Aventis in Shanghai for half a year before beginning her journey in pharmacoepidemiology in 2015 Fall as a Ph.D. student. Her primary research focus is geriatric pharmacoepidemiology, which includes understanding drug utilization patterns among older adults, comparing the effectiveness of different drug regimens, and investigating potential safety risks associated with medication use. Most of her work is related to chronic pain and prescription opioid use. .  Her seminar title is: “Safety and Effectiveness of Concurrent Use of Gabapentinoids and Opioids Among US Older Adults“.
