UF, Genentech, and conference collaboration leads workshop offered at Virtual ISPOR 2020

Weihsuan Jenny Lo-Ciganic, Ph.D., M.S., M.S.Pharm., an assistant professor of pharmaceutical outcomes and policy in the University of Florida College of Pharmacy will present a workshop on machine learning during the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research, or ISPOR, first virtual conference, Virtual ISPOR 2020 – HEOR: Advancing Evidence to Action. Lo-Ciganic will lead the workshop in collaboration with experts from Genentech (pharmaceutical company) and nference (an artificial intelligence and machine learning company). The workshop will demonstrate how machine learning and data mining techniques can enhance health economics outcomes research studies through practical examples leveraging real-world data and publicly available biomedical literature.
