POP Seminar: Abdulrahman Alsuibani & Mahek Garg on Thurs, Feb 27, 2020

We will be welcoming our graduate students Abdulrahman Alsuhibani, Pharm.D. and Mahek Garg, M.S., B.S.Pharm. as our seminar speakers.

Abdulrahman Alsuhibani is a second-year M.S. student at POP Department under Dr. Vouri’s supervision. He received his Pharm.D. degree from the school of pharmacy at Qassim University in 2015. After finishing one year of clinical internship in different hospitals in Saudi Arabia, he started his academic career as a teacher assistant in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Qassim University. Abdulrahman joined the M.S. program at the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy at the University of Florida in 2018. His seminar title: “Statins Use Following Bariatric Surgery: Factors Associated with the Discontinuation”.

Mahek Garg did her undergraduate in Pharmacy in India and M.S. in Health Economics and Outcomes Research from the University of New Mexico. After working in healthcare and business consulting for two years, she joined this program in 2016. She has been working with Dr. Haesuk Park in infectious disease area.  Her seminar title: “Impact of Disease Severity on Healthcare Costs of Chronic Hepatitis C Patients”.
