UF International Center presents Outstanding Achievement Award to graduate student YoonYoung Choi

The University of Florida International Center has honored Yoonyoung Choi, a fourth-year graduate student in the department of pharmaceutical outcomes and policy, with an Outstanding Achievement Award. She was presented a certificate of outstanding merit during the annual Outstanding International Student Awards Ceremony on Nov. 15. The award was given in recognition of Choi’s exemplary academic achievements, along with her wide range of accomplishments and contributions.

Choi served as a president for the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology, or ISPE, UF student chapter and a graduate council representative for the department of pharmaceutical outcomes and policy at UF during 2015-2016. She works under the supervision of Almut Winterstein, Ph.D, professor and chair of the department of pharmaceutical outcomes and policy. Choi’s research interests include development and validation of a predictive risk score for Respiratory Syncytial Virus, or RSV, hospitalizations in the pediatric population.
