POP Student Wins a UF “Outstanding International Student Award”

Xinyue Liu, a 4th-year PhD student in the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy, was recently honored by the UF International Center (UFIC) with an “Outstanding International Student Award”.

The awards are designed to recognize students who not only meet exemplary academic achievement, but also a wide range of accomplishments and contributions.  This year’s ceremony was held November 21st, 2013 at the Smathers Library in celebration of International Education Week.  At the annual award ceremony, the UIFC presents around 75 Outstanding Student Award Certificates and several scholarships.

Liu, who is currently working towards her PhD and is interested in Pharmacoepidemiology, pediatrics, psychiatric, and neurology research, was nominated for this award by the faculty within the department.
