Ghadeer Dawwas’ research recognized with award and travel grant

Ghadeer Dawwas, a fourth-year graduate student in the department of pharmaceutical outcomes and policy, has received two honors related to her research on arthritis limitations in U.S. veterans. She received an Outstanding Research Presentation award from the University of Florida Graduate School during the first-ever Graduate Student Appreciation Week in March. In addition, she was one of 30 students to receive a travel grant to attend the ISPOR 21st Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. in May. Hosted by the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research, the meeting featured over 1,800 presentations and nearly 3,800 attendees from 83 countries. The ISPOR travel grants were awarded on a competitive basis to student members.
